Colette Vogele
Colette Vogele is an attorney with a passion for solving complex platform liability challenges. She’s an expert in individual privacy rights, online anonymity, free expression, intellectual property, data protection, and AR/VR. Her work on online privacy has been featured in publications including the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, Forbes.com, CNET, and the ABA Journal. Vogele is currently an Associate General Counsel in AR/VR at Facebook, Inc. Prior to that, she supported product, policy, regulatory affairs, and marketing at Microsoft, and earlier in her career she represented businesses and individuals in IP, platform liability, and online harassment matters in private practice. She was affiliated as a Fellow at Stanford Law School’s Center for Internet & Society (2004-2014), where she began the work which developed into co-founding Without My Consent in 2011 with Erica Johnstone. (Vogele’s work for WMC has always been independent of her work at any other organization.)
